Ms. Kelsey leads the daytime music program with energy, creativity, and a deep love for teaching. Her classes focus on singing and rhythm games that help students develop strong pitch-matching and rhythm skills in a fun, interactive way. Students are also introduced to a variety of musical instruments, sparking curiosity and broadening their musical horizons.

Tolbert Music is proud to bring our innovative instrumental music program to Word of Life! Unlike traditional public school timelines, we believe in getting students started earlier—so we welcome all students in 1st grade and up to begin their journey with a band or orchestra instrument of their choice.
Led by Mr. Ozzie Backus, our Symphonic Band & Orchestra program offers a dynamic, hands-on approach that builds confidence, skill, and a lifelong love of music.

🎶 Private Music Lessons – After School
We’re excited to offer private music lessons after school with Mr. Ozzie Backus! Students can receive one-on-one instruction on any of the instruments offered in our Symphonic Band & Orchestra program, as well as piano and guitar.
Private lessons are the most effective way to accelerate musical growth and build strong foundational skills.
