Meet Mr. Cory Haley – Reston Montessori School

Mr. Cory Haley is the lead music instructor at Reston Montessori and one of Tolbert Music’s most experienced and valued educators.

Primary Program:
In the primary classes, Mr. Cory introduces students to music through singing, rhythm activities, and hands-on instrument play. Students learn a wide variety of songs, practice solfège (do-re-mi), and explore different instruments and key moments in music history.

Elementary Program:
At the elementary level, Mr. Cory leads our signature instrumental program. Each student selects a standard symphonic instrument and begins learning to play as part of their regular music curriculum. While singing remains part of the experience, the focus shifts to building foundational skills on their chosen instrument—setting them up for long-term musical success.
