Mr. Oswald Backus is the program director at St. Columba. He teaches music classes that are focused on singing and rhythm games used to develop students pitch-matching, and rhythm-matching abilities. Exposure to various instruments is included as a part of the program as well. Please reach out with any questions!

In addition to daytime music classes, Mr. Backus also teaches private music lessons at school. Students can choose any instrument to study with him. If you need suggestions please just ask! Cost is $195/month for a weekly 30min slot. Holidays and school closures are built into this rate, but so are months with 5 lessons.
Missed lessons are handled with credits ($45 off your next bill) and make-ups. Makeup lessons may need to be conducted virtually. Teachers and clients will work out details based on specific circumstances of cancellations.
