🎵 Springs Drumming Club 🎵
A High-Energy Percussion Experience for Young Musicians
The Springs Drumming Club is open to elementary-aged students who are excited about rhythm, percussion, and making music in a fun and collaborative way!
In this after-school ensemble, students will:
Learn drumming techniques on practice pads
Perform with bucket drums, chairs, paint buckets, and even garbage cans
Explore rhythm through spoken word, chants, and movement
Play energetic, non-traditional music that’s as fun to watch as it is to play!
This is a fantastic opportunity for students to experience music-making in a dynamic, creative environment—even if they’ve never played an instrument before.
Younger Students Welcome!
While the club is designed for elementary students, we've had younger participants join successfully in past sessions. If your child is younger but interested, please fill out the registration form and include a note under "Experience Level" with their age. We’ll follow up with you directly to discuss whether the club is a good fit and answer any questions.
🥁 What Materials Will I Need?
Students will need to bring two essential items to participate in Drumming Club:
A practice pad
A pair of drumsticks
Practice pads are small, portable, and made of rubber, allowing students to practice without creating loud noise. They are designed to feel like a real drum surface and help students develop proper drumming technique both in class and at home.
Recommended Equipment
While any standard pad and sticks will work, I highly recommend:
Vic Firth Heavy Hitter Slim Pad
Vic Firth SD1 General Drumsticks
These sticks are lightweight and well-balanced, making them ideal for elementary-aged students, and the pad provides a realistic drumming feel.
If you already own a pad or sticks, feel free to use them—as long as they’re in good condition!

Class Schedule: Thursdays, 3:10–3:50 PM
Start Date: February 2
End Date: May 25
Location: After school at [insert school name or location if needed]
Cost: $200 for the full Spring semester
Sign-ups will remain open until the first day of class on February 2.
